Only The Good Friday

by sheila on February 20, 2009

otgfthorne61I am playing forward an idea I got from my good friend Shelly, at “This Eclectic Life.” The idea is to make Friday a day to pass on only the good!

Now there are all kinds of ways to pass along the good.

I am fortunate to live in an area where neighbors help neighbors. Each of my neighbors has different talents they share. One neighbor brings me bouquets from his flower garden. Another neighbor thinks of us when she bakes and often drops a treat by. (My husband is grateful, I don’t bake.) We are never without fresh eggs. The other day I saw the man up the street stop and put someone else’s cows back in their field. The list goes on….

On this Friday. I am passing on some good stuff I found this week. They are a all very different from each other. Check them out!

How will you play it forward? How will you make this “Good Friday”?

There is lots of goodness in this one:
- You are resourceful – you share your favorite stuff with others, it should be valuable (off to check it myself )
- You show other bloggers the way how to better connect each with other
- You give link love (thank you)

Good move.

p.s. the name is Alik but sometimes people call me Elik too ;)

Sorry not to get by sooner, Sheila. My internet is completely wonky right now. But, I just love this post! All the link love (can’t wait to follow them all)…and the quote at the end by JK Rowling slays me. What an excellent entry. Thank you!

I came here from Insightful Nana. I am intrigued with the Only the Good Friday theme. I did twitter your blog and hers. If twitter grabs the idea, this could go international fast! Only spread good news on Fridays, that is the way I understand it, right?
Kinda like Complaint-Free World on Fridays!

Hi Joan,
You got it right! Only good news on Fridays. Of you won’t have a problem with that you spread good news all of the time.
You are great!

I love your idea, and can relate to it. One reason I started Blogspired is because I grew tired of finding nothing but discouraging news in our headlines. It seems as if good news doesn’t rate a spot on many newscasts, either.

Congrats on putting feet to your thoughts. I love this blog, and am going to be keeping an eye on it!

Hi Seedplanter,
I love your handle and your blog. I am not much for the News either. I believe it is up to us as individuals to make things happen.
Thank You. Sheila
