Our little farm is quietly tucked away, in the Wasatch Range. With an elevation of 5600 ft above sea level, we have cool summers and some pretty darn cold winters. Utah is known for the “Greatest Snow On Earth” and we manage to get our share.
Over time we collected our share of stuff. In fact it has been said that we have quite a museum. Tourists even stop to take pictures. The preschoolers have have had field trips in my back yard! Yea, we have stuff.
On this Good Friday I want to share my one of my favorite collections.
I am always so intrigued by the intricate weaving of found bedding materials of each nest. Thread and plastic scraps are intertwined with sagebrush, grass, horse hair, lambs wool and sticks.
Do you have a collection that brings you pleasure?
Sheila
P.S. Thanks to Katie at KMB Foto for the use of her photos.
P.P.S. You can join Shelly, Kathy and me and play forward by writing and doing good on Friday.

Oh, this so does my heart good! Beautiful! I live on 40 acres in the High Desert of Southern California. We’re only at about 4000 or so, but it gets pretty extreme each way up here too! I collect a lot of things, too. I hope you will post more lovely images of your “stuff” in future!
Happy OtGF and have a good weekend.

Great collection! I can’t see how they have managed to weather your snows. I guess your birds aren’t as silly as the mourning doves who are attempting to nest in my back yard! Yes, I have collections…I collect collections! Have a great weekend!

Oh yes… Sheila has collections. I’ve had the privilege of seeing this one. The collection is one of my favorites. It’s fun to see how unique each little bird home is. The humming bird’s nest was so small… made with the tiny pieces of this and that.
Thanks for sharing… looking forward to seeing your other collections.
