You can attend Webinars to learn more about any subject.
What is a Webinar?
Webinar is short for Web-based seminar. Webinars are just like a conference room based seminar. However, participants view the presentation through their Web-browser and listen from their computer or through the telephone. A Webinar is interactive, you have the ability to give, receive and discuss information. A Webinar is a perfect learning tool.
In the past week I have attended 3 Webinars: Article Writing – Niche Profit Classroom-Using Public Domain Material to Make Products. I walked away with tools I can use today in my online business. I follow several people that put these Webinars on. I get emails when ever they are conducting a Webinar. I also find Webinars that pertain to my niches through Twitter.
Tips for attending a Webinar
- Sign up for the Webinar as soon you get the sign up information. This will secure your spot.
- Once you have signed up you will get an email with all of the attendance data.
- Create a folder on your desk top to put information about the Webinar in.
- Save that email in that folder so you have easy access to the Webinar information.
- Mark you calender with the Webinar Date and Time….make sure you have the time in your time zone.
- Webinars can move fast. Use a screen capture tool like Jing for PC – Skitch-for Mac to capture images of the screen. This saves you from having to make notes. Move those images to the folder you created on your desk top for future reference.
- Be sure to complete any survey at the end of the Webinar. This will help you get quality Webinars in the future.
Webinar Manners
- Be on time if at all possible. Sometimes there are discussions at the beginning that are full of tips.
- If you come in late, join the group with out disturbing them.
- If you are listening to the Webinar on the phone, hit the mute button if you have back ground noise in the room.
- Stay on the subject with your questions. The moderator will let you know when it is OK to move to a different subject.
- Send your questions through your browser if possible. You will be given a space to do this. The moderator can keep questions organized and use them at the appropriate time.
I hope these Webinar tips help you out on this Only the Good Friday.

Ahoy Sheila,
Great information. One addition I might suggest. After you have signed up, and received your conformation email, go ahead and load the webinar even though it is at a future time. You may need some additional software to view the webinar and no point waiting till the last minute…
