Ahoy Sheila,

I do not use WordPress. I have a question.

How difficult is it to change a WP theme down the road?
Say months or years later, can the theme be easily changed?
Or are you “stuck” with the theme once it has been started?

Thanks,

Rob

Captain,
I asked my WordPress Expert Mike Paetzold,”it will keep all your posts and pages you may need to play with sidebar widgets depending on the previous theme.”

The logic is that WordPress is the blog format which has posts, pages, widgets, comments, and tools. Plugins and themes are added to that basic format.

It is important to choose a good theme. Free themes approved by WordPress are a good choice because all the inside links have been checked. I would recommend starting with a Premium theme because you get support.
Thesis has a super duper support system that is well worth what you have paid to get the top of the line theme.

Hi Sheila,

I like Thesis but it’s very demanding if you’re not a coder (even with the great support in the forums). Maybe Thesis 2.0 will sort this – hope so, as I’m hearing a lot about Headway at the minute and that looks very tempting.

Peter,
Just like anything I learn, I start with the basics and learn them well. Then I move to the next level. I found working with the basic Thesis theme was easy.
