Posting to your blog should be done on a regular basis. You can write several posts in one sitting, and then schedule them to go out on the dates and times you have chosen. This works well if your time is limited, you will be out of town, or if you have many ideas at one time.
What will you post about on your blog that will keep them coming back for more? I highly recommend giving people excellent information on your topic. Do not hold anything back. The more help and information you have to offer, the better your reputation will be as someone who is giving and generous online.
One way that you can have more links going back and forth within your blog is to refer to an older blog posts in the current post you are writing. You simply go back through your posts in a specific category, and then write the new post. In that post, talk about what you said previously and give a link to that post. This serves more than one purpose; your blog will be indexed by the search engines for both posts and it also gives you a reason to write the new post when you have additional or updated information to give.
Having a guest blogger occasionally will also be interesting for your readers, while still providing excellent information. This gives you a break from posting, and also allows your guest blogger to introduce themselves to your audience, making it a win-win situation.
I teach my students something I call power blogging. Power blogging is the process of blogging at least once a day for a period of about two to three months. By using your keywords in your post titles and throughout your writing, the search engines will find you quickly and easily and your blog will grow in popularity and readership. Allow people to easily stumble your best posts by including a Stumble Upon link at the end of each post.
Blogging needs to be a regular part of your daily work schedule, along with article writing and marketing and social networking. The combination of these three activities will build your online business quickly, but blogging is the most important because your blog is your home on the internet.
After you have blogged daily for a month or so, you will most likely find that it has become a habit that you look forward to doing every day.
And now I invite you to claim your free Special Report on “Building Your Online Empire”, as well as a recording of this information, by visiting http://www.OnlineWritingSuccess.com and get started right away with building a profitable online business.
