Write Your “About Me” Page – Building Trust and Relationships

by sheila on October 14, 2009

Yes, your “About Me” page is about you, but guess what, just like the rest of your blog, it is really about your reader. The word “You” is the most important word on your blog. When you want to make money, it is never about “me”…it is always about the other guy. It is about his desires, his needs and his problems.

Your reader is interested in:

  • How your blog addresses his goals.
  • How you will be helping them solve his problems.
  • How will he benefit by reading your blog.

The purpose of your about page is to establish trust and build relationships. Once your have stated who you are and what qualifies you to write your blog, focus on your reader. Let him know you are going to help him.
