WordPress Themes -Finding The Best WP Themes

Are you are looking for the best WP Theme for your niche sites or your main blog? Here is my list of the best WP themes. Some are free themes and some are premium themes.

Best Free WP Themes

When it comes to picking free WordPress themes, I generally go to WordPress.org. This way I am assured that there are no bugs or encrypted messages in the theme. I have been very successful in using these free themes for my review sites: CellphoneTreasure.org, and CBEngineReveiw.com. I have also used a free theme for my niche sites. RemedySleep.com

The Cutline theme is my favorite free theme. It was designed by Chris Pearson of DIY Themes. Chris is he designer of the famous Thesis Theme (the theme I am using on this blog). I have set up several niche sites using this theme. I love how easy it is to work with and you get support, which is unusual with a free them.

Best Adsense Themes

Both adsense themes I like are free. The first adsense theme is from Dosh Dosh. It is a very clean and easy to use theme. I also love Key Lime Pie free WordPress theme. This theme is a little more technical but it is very classy.

Best Premium Themes
How smart is your Theme? How good is your support? Check out ThesisTheme for WordPress.

I love my Thesis Theme. There is one heck of a lot built right into this theme. Most options are point and click. But I find making some changes difficult and I have had to spend time doing research. There are plenty of resources for learning how to make any custom changes to this theme, if you find you just have to. MarthaGiffen.com has kept this theme really simple and effective.

Now for a quick and easy premium theme I would use my next suggestion.

Flexibility Theme

The Flex theme is very simple to customize for adsense and niches. Here are two very different uses of the Flex Theme: my niche site, AdultSkinCareandAcne.com and MarketingandPromotionBasics.com. You can see how it can be simple or very detailed. You also get great support with this theme.

If you have any questions be sure and let me know. This was a lot of theme stuff packed into one post. I would also like to here about what themes you like to use.

Sheila

P.S. Newbies, keep it simple. Pick a theme that works for you. Get it online. The Best WP Themes are the themes that fit you niche and you can get them up and running quickly.

  1. Wow! This is such great information about WP themes! This one post should be a must-read for everybody starting out trying to pick a theme and make their way through all the information. And, yes, I do love the Thesis theme. I believe in customer-friendly, simple sites!

I am with you and Martha here. Almost all my sites are thesis. my wife does all my graphics and website construction and stuff and man has thesis made that easier.
    Great information here, Sheila. Thanks!

  3. Hey Sheila!
Any of those themes you mentioned would be great for the internet marketing newbie. Some are obviously more user friendly than others.
I just built a new site ( http://www.outsourcingcontrol.com ) using a premium theme that’s about as “non-techy” as I’ve seen so far…it’s called Socrates and I have an affiliate link to it on my new site :-)
    Definitely worth checking out!

  4. Thanks Sheila… for mentioning http://marketingandpromotionbasics.com I love my Flexx Pro theme. It’s so easy and workable. I’m putting this theme on local business sites. It is my understanding it’s wise to purchase a high quality theme over a free theme. They are much more SEO friendly.

    Great tips about wp themes!

Strangely I wasn’t a fan of thesis …. way way too much work IMO. I remember pro-sense. Loved it, been meaning to try it again soon :)

Thanks for the very informative read.

Though being a techy I’ve never found a theme that ‘fit’ me. thus I just took a theme that I found good enough and have been editing it to my liking ever since.

Hopefully from your information here I can finally find a new and better theme :)

    Thanks,
    –PK

I like your theme. In fact the colors are perfect! In fact your color scheme is the same one used by big sites like – Google, Yahoo, Face Book and Mashable.

Why thank you for the generous complements! :)

The colors are partially taken from the major sites, but also taken by my design team and my love for anything blue! (that includes the blue man group!)

I was never really a fan of the Flexx themes though. Always seemed a bit tooo hmm … ‘contrived’ for me. To each his/her own!
