Motivation and Productivity – 7 Ways To Make Your Targets and Goals Real

What would you say is the number one motivation for productivity?

So what is your carrot? Do you have a purpose you are working for?

7 Ways to make your targets and goals real.

  1. Write your purposes and goals down. Write them down in as much detail as you can.
  2. Now write down your ideal scene. Then you will know what is distracting you from creating that ideal scene.
  3. Make your goals real by sharing your ideas with those around your so they know what you are working towards. Find others with similar goals that you can work with. Having a partner with the same purpose is magic. Find like minds and work together.
  4. Set targets. Set up monthly targets towards the ideal scene. Then break these targets down to weekly targets. Then down to daily targets. Look at who and what is helping you to meet those targets and do those successful actions. Get rid of all distractions, including people, TV, phone calls etc.
  5. Always be participating in the activities of your purpose. Your actions will act like a magnet for all of life to align up with. For example, if your purpose is to teach the build schools in a third world country, start now. Donate to another persons school. Put 10% of your income aside for your project. Get the idea?
  6. Share your successes. No matter how small your successes are tell those who support you. Take the win.
  7. Join a challenge. Have you ever wondered what motivates a person to run a 10k race? I think it is the challenge. It helps to raise your necessity level. It makes you produce.

Taking a challenge is great motivational and productivity tool.

I like to include everything I want in the ideal scene. It is like making the postulate that it will occur. I refer the it often it helps me to make sure I am on track.

  2. Great list! I especially enjoy challenges because personally, I can’t stand to leave anything unfinished. A challenge will push me to the finish line!

I like the push too. Besides it is so much fun to work with like minds and support each other.

  3. Goal setting is SO important, and I can never hear about it often enough. But I really like the point on sharing our successes. Time should definitely be made to do this. So often, when we reach a goal we are still distracted by the other goals we have, that we don’t give the achievement due attention. Thanks for the reminder Sheila :)

It is weird how sharing success works. It is not a matter of approval it is a matter of expanding and getting my anchor points out there. Magic

Love the 7 tips and the video is awesome!

  5. I absolutely agree with your points and I do them all. One that I started more recently is working with a partner. You’re right about the magic in that. I record my successes, but there could be even greater power in sharing them more publically. And I love the challenge thing, the blog challenge specifically – - great motivation to stay on track! What a wonderful video (LOVE the drawing).

      Thanks LeAnne,

Finding a partner with the same goals is magic. It is the one thing that I would have young couples really look at before they got married. It would save a lot of grief and create a lot of happy futures.

I almost think the drawings were my favorite part of the video.

    Hi,
I like the seven steps. The part that I need to work on is telling my friends and family about my ideal situation and my goals. I tend to just go ahead and work on the goals and sometimes you need the support of those around you.
