Don’t you just love finding the best free web testing tools and free tools that help you improve your site?
While I am searching the web I grab and test out the free tools I find. In fact I have compiled my list and put them in a free report for you.
Here are 3 free web testing tools from my list that now has over 275 free tools and resources.
Have you ever wondered who is copying and using your blog posts? Or wondered if the content you are buying is original?
Copyscape offers free web testing tools for checking originality and to find those who have copied your hard work. They also offer a very nice upgrade for their professional services.
Plus you can get a Copyscape warning button for your Website:
Now how would you a free web testing tool that will grade your site?
HubSpot has a free website grader that is just fabulous, and aptly named, Website Grader.
You will be asked to opt in for your free report. You will be glad you did optin. Hubspot has loads of valuable information and webinars.
Two of my favorite online entrepreneurs, Lewis Howes and Marcus Sheridan share a little more about Hubspot.
In this video Lewis Howes interviews Hubspot head of marketing, Mike Vople. Not only do you get a quick over view of Website Grader, Mike gives you a quick lesson in how they use this free tool in their marketing.
Next up is the The Sales Lion, Marcus Sheridan’s famous blog post gives a total over view of Hubspot.
When it comes to getting conversions from your site, how would you like to start out knowing where your readers attention goes?
A heat map will help you do this. You can tell where you viewer will be looking when they come to your site.
If you are using IE or the Firefox browers you can get a visual heat map of clicks on an HTML page with ClickHeat.
There are several free heat map resources, but I found that AttentionWizzard works the best and it is next to free. For 1 penny each you can get 10 heat maps of your site. At that price it is next to free.
Attention Wizzard is easy to use and cheap. Even the upgrade is a nice price for Web Developers.
Have fun testing your website!
Sheila

You are right Sheila, those are great tools to use.
A friend of mine recently had her entire blog copied and she was pretty upset when she found they had literally copied the whole thing. Not just a post or two but the entire blog. So for those types of issues, Copyscape is really a must.
I believe I first heard about Hubspot by Marcus and a friend sent me the link recently to grade my site. Since it dropped with this last PR update he thought it might help me. It’s a really cool tool I must admit.
The heat map is another cool tool, you are so right. Before I saw this I had no idea how important it is to have things placed on your blog so that when brand new people land on it, there are certain things they will see first. I found that to be pretty fascinating.
Thanks for sharing, haven’t thought of these in awhile.
Adrienne
Adrienne,
Thanks, so glad you are familiar with these tools and use them.
I heard about HubSpot from Marcus also and I am glad I did. The website grader has been an eye opener for me.
I am fairly new to heat maps, but they have fast become a tool I use all the time.
You gotta love free web tools, although is kinnda hard to find free quality service out there. I’ll name just a few that I use:
tools.pingdom.com – will test your website loading speed (very useful)
seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/metatag-analyzer.html – will analyze your pages from the SEO point of view, its a great way to verify if your website and pages are SEO friendly
Google adwords tools – no need for details here.
Rancid,
Thanks for the extra tools I have checked them out and I will be adding them to my list. They are very nice.

I am using my Google Webmaster tools more and more all the time. I am hoping others are doing the same, it sounds like you are.
Appreciate your comment.
Hey Sheila, I love Copyscape because it saved my “behind” numerous times when checking for duplicate content when people send me their guest posts. I also used the Website grader before.
I love heat maps and I am going to check these links as soon as I post the comment, opened them in separate tabs so I don’t forget
I recently wrote about Clicky which is my favorite tool at the moment, because it gives me all the stats in real time. So I would suggest people to check it out, it is free for one website.
Thanks for the tip on the heat maps, I was going to check out the Crazy Egg, but never got around to it, cause I plan so many things with my blog that it would not make sense to scan it in details and optimize when I didn’t even finish the basics I had planned. This is regarding to not such a low price on Crazy Egg which I can’t justify (yet).
Brankica
Brankica,
Thanks for the suggestions!
Clicky is an excellent tool. I will be putting it on one of my sites. I like the fact that you can test your bitly URLs and the split testing feature is very nice.

I plan on doing some redesigning based off of the heat map I have done for my site.
Although CrazyEgg is not free it is a nice option and the $9.00 option could be worth it for some people.

I LOVE Hubspot’s Web Grader and Twitter Grader tools! (OK, mostly because of the silly messages they have pop up while the analysis is running!) I’ll have to check these two others out and see how they rock. Do you use all three together? In order to use Copyscape, wouldn’t you have to know someone took your post, or is it mostly for those you are guest blogging for?
Lisa,
All three tools are very different. CopyScape does search the web to find content that has been copied. It can even pick up little snippets of copied content.
Heat maps show the hot spots on your site. They show you where to put you most important information. I am working on some simple changes for my site based on my heat map.
We’ve been using Hubspot for over year now and happy to see some good results. It’s quite pricey but they’re worth it.
